Brainlink and Finch on the move

It's been a busy couple of months here at BirdBrain.  The Finch will be available for sale this week at www.finchrobot.com.  The site is also not standing still - we've posted 40 Finch-related assignments, and are continuing to knock out support for additional programming languages.  Javascript, Labview, and Visual BASIC are next, followed by a drag and drop language.

Last Friday we held a workshop with local high school and college students to introduce them to Brainlink.  With the help of the CREATE lab, we developed a software environment for Brainlink for the Mac and PC that allows rich programming of a number of robot platforms (including Roomba and Robosapien) in Java.  The students, most of whom had roughly one year of programming experience, took off with it and were already writing their own programs by the end of the workshop.  They've been loaned a robot+Brainlink for all of February and will be writing applications and posting videos at www.brainlinksystem.com
