Perfect Pumpkin Project
When it comes to pumpkin projects, the only limit is how much time you can carve out. This video shows just a few pumpkin and jack-o-lantern ideas – what other ideas can you think of? Please share them with us, so we can add them to our project patch! Click here to learn more about these pumpkin projects.
Haunted Halloween Card Project
Add some spooky excitement to our classroom, home, or any favorite spot with this Haunted Halloween card, designed by our resident makerspace expert Andrew Miller! Andrew incorporated LED lights and servo motors into his card, and used the rotation servo to create a winch mechanism. This card is a great example of our Moving Scene activity – so that’s a perfect place to get started. You can also find details on the winch mechanism (and other mechanisms perfect for Hummingbird projects) here, on our build page.
AI Zombie Rover Project
The only thing scarier than an undead Zombie rover is… an undead Zombie rover that’s powered by AI! With our materials, you can create your own Halloween rover, and then build and train an image recognition model to control it. Start by creating a basic rover using the My First Rover lesson (we don’t have the pattern for this exact Zombie, but you can design and animate any character with this activity!). Then, head over to the AI with Hummingbird in Snap! project directions to bring your rover to life with AI magic.
