RW Thrive is the parent holding company that was born from Realityworks, the leader in career technology education. RW Thrive is 100% employee owned, and thus, going forward, BirdBrain Technologies will be as well.
First things first: the BirdBrain Technologies that you know and love is here to stay. RW Thrive is committed to supporting the BirdBrain brand and mission, and it is our top priority to maintain consistency with our tools, resources, support, and community. BirdBrain’s products and employees will have a home inside a larger organization with a proven 30 year track record. This new chapter will help us to sustain and grow the flocking amazing community that we have built with you, while also allowing us to amplify and deepen our work of impacting every student by supporting every educator.
In 2005, I began a journey to create tools that would make computer science and robotics accessible and engaging for every child, and thanks to the work of the BirdBrain team, my colleagues at the Carnegie Mellon CREATE Lab, and thousands of dedicated educators, we have inspired deep and joyful learning for more than a million students around the world… so far.
I will personally be staying on with BirdBrain, and over the next few years, and with RW Thrive’s help, I will be accelerating my efforts to develop new and exciting products for the STEM and Robotics space. I’m thrilled about what we’ll be able to do together!
