Finch Hot Potato

Make the Finch a “hot potato” for a game of speed and sound.

BEGINNER: Level 1

Your Finch should play the five level 1 note blocks in order, then play the lowest note, and then turn the Finch’s LEDs red.

The goal of the game is to not be holding the hot potato when the buzzer sounds its final note and the Finch turns red. Whoever is left holding the Hot Potato when the final buzzer sounds is out! Students are eliminated until there is a winner.

INTERMEDIATE: Level 2

Your Finch should play five or more note blocks in order, then play a low note, and then turn the Finch’s LEDs red.

The goal of the game is to not be holding the hot potato when the buzzer sounds its final note and the Finch turns red. Whoever is left holding the Hot Potato when the final buzzer sounds is out! Students are eliminated until there is a winner.

ADVANCED: Level 3

Your Finch should play a series of increasingly fast and high pitched sounds while flashing its LEDs, followed by one long, low sound and all red LEDs. Restart the Hot Potato game by covering the light sensors and using the when dark trigger block.

The goal of the game is to not be holding the hot potato when the buzzer sounds and the Finch turns red. Whoever is left holding the Hot Potato when the final buzzer sounds is out! Students are eliminated until there is a winner.
