# Finch on the Number Line

Use the Finch to model addition and subtraction on a number line.

## BEGINNER: Level 1

Place your robot on the number line so that its beak is at 3. If the robot moves forward 5 blocks, where will it be? Think about your answer, and then test it in FinchBlox!

Place your robot on the number line so that its beak is at 5. If the robot moves forward 2 blocks and then back 4 blocks, where will it be? Think about your answer, and then test it in FinchBlox!

## INTERMEDIATE: Level 2 or Level 3

For this activity, you will need a number line marked in centimeters (Level 2) or increments of 10 cm (Level 1).
