Hummingbird Duo and Bit

1. Gather the appropriate cleaning supplies, e.g. CDC/EPA approved disinfecting wipes, disinfecting spray and paper towels, disposable gloves.
2. While wearing gloves unplug all components from the Hummingbird board
3. Wipe down the outside of the Hummingbird storage container, board, and any components that were used with disinfecting wipes. If you are using disinfecting spray, do not spray directly on to the Hummingbird board or components, spray on to a paper towel and use that to wipe the surface (spraying directly on to the Hummingbird board could damage the electronic components). Be careful not to let liquid get into the power ports, component ports, or micro:bit slot.
4. Be sure to follow the instructions on your disinfectant, many need to stay wet for 3-5 minutes to take full effect.
5. Allow the Hummingbird and components to dry completely before plugging back in or turning the power back on.
6. Make sure to wash your hands for a minimum of 30 seconds before and after using or cleaning your Hummingbird. Be sure to also clean and disinfect the device you are using to program your Hummingbird, as well as any craft tools or supplies you may have used.

Finch and Finch 2.0 

1. Gather the appropriate cleaning supplies, e.g. CDC/EPA approved disinfecting wipes, disinfecting spray and paper towels, disposable gloves.
2. While wearing gloves, unplug the Finch from it’s charger/cord.
3. Wipe down the surface of the Finch and cord with disinfecting wipes. If you are using disinfecting spray, do not spray directly on to the Finch, spray on to a paper towel and use that to wipe the surface (spraying directly on to the Finch could damage the electronic components). Make sure to wipe around the tires, marker holder, and anywhere where hands may have touched. Be careful not to let liquid get into the charging ports, micro:bit slot, or USB port.

5. Allow the Finch to dry completely before plugging back in or turning the power back on.
