Why aren’t my rechargeable batteries working?

Due to a variation in voltage, AA rechargeable batteries may not turn on the green status light on your Hummingbird Bit controller. You may also note that the battery indicator icon in BirdBlox, Snap!, and BlueBird Connector may show a low battery status, which is due to the variation of voltage in rechargeable batteries.

Instead of AA batteries, we recommend our rechargeable power banks! With these power banks, you can expect to run a Hummingbird Robot with two active motors for 6+ hours. The power bank also includes an LED indicator light, letting you know the charging status.
