BirdBrain Technologies Webinars

Tuesday, July 07, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm (ET)

Robot Shakespeare

Robot Shakespeare

Bring thy project to life in Robot Shakespeare class with BirdBrain Technologies! Students will explore a scene from a Shakespeare play and bring a robotics scene to life through coding. Students will also have a chance to play a robotic Shakespeare game in the BirdBrain studio! We will explore coding concepts and ELA concepts like dialogue, plot, and theme together through creative robotics.

Teachers, please invite your students to register and join! BirdBrain classes are free, fun, easy, and enriching. Students are encouraged to participate live in the Zoom class, and teachers are encouraged to watch live on Facebook. Think of this like a “Fishbowl” activity, in which teachers observe their and other students’ learning. Teachers can then join the Wednesday Teacher Talk session to discuss how and why the class developed as it did.

The Lake County Regional Office of Education will provide 1 PDH for Illinois educators who would like to receive professional development hours towards their license.  An online evaluation will be shared at the end of the webinar and those who are interested can request their credit.  Evaluation must be completed by Friday, July 10, 2020.  Please visit https://www.lake.k12.il.us/professional-learning for upcoming professional development including STEM and coding opportunities for the 20-21 school year with Hummingbird Robots.

Required Materials:

  • No building supplies needed.
  • Students should join the Zoom call from a laptop if possible, as tablets and Chromebooks will limit aspects of participation.

This webinar is free to attend. Register below to attend on Zoom. Registration closes 1 hour prior to class, so be sure to register before then! If you miss the cutoff, you can watch our live stream on Facebook!

Want to use your own Hummingbird at home? Purchase one from our webstore.
